Founded by media and tech veterans Harry Friedman and Nick Tangborn, Otter's goal is to make video production and live streaming fast, easy and accessible for all, with a suite of cloud-based multi-cam video production tools.

Harry Friedman - Chairman

Harry Friedman has been in the entertainment industry since 1977. He has owned and managed production, post production, and equipment concerns in New York, Los Angeles, and Texas. These ventures have created programming for all major networks, including the television program “Rome” on HBO, and many other theatrical and made-for-TV features. Friedman has been involved in funding and developing many ventures, and currently is the senior customer strategist for Dynamic Portals, an enterprise class and truly interactive content production and delivery platform for many types of media services.

Nick Tangborn - CEO

Nick Tangborn is a 20-year veteran of digital media. He was Editor-in-Chief of Listen.com, which became Rhapsody. He founded the Jackpine Social Club record label, held management positions at BitTorrent and CNET, and consulted for the original Napster. In a multi-year diversion, he was COO of Batter Blaster, the aerosol pancake & waffle batter in a can. Tangborn and Batter Blaster hold the Guinness World Record for most pancakes made and served in eight hours (76,832)

Jagadish Channagiri - CTO

Jagadish Channagiri has been building technology products for 25 years. Previous positions include VP of Engineering at BitTorrent, Head of Distributed Intelligence Solutions at Intel, Principal Software Engineer at Oracle, and Chief Architect at geoTouch. His experience encompasses enterprise, web and mobile products; embedded systems; big data and analytics; GCP/Amazon cloud computing; devops; machine learning; and AI.

Jon Flatt - CRO

Jon Flatt was the founder and former CEO of RED McCombs Media AKA RMM Online, where he guided the company to over $500M in revenue. The company was twice named one of the “INC 500” fastest-growing private companies nationwide, before becoming a publicly traded company. RMM was purchased by Lin Digital in 2009. Jon recently brought KERV Interactive to market, generating over $3M in revenue in the first 12 months. KERV has multiple Lumiere Awards, the Oscar equivalent in advertising technology. It was also recognized by The Silicon Review as one of the top “50 Most Valuable Brands of the Year.”

Mark Tullos - Operations

Mark Tullos has been in the video production and post production industry for 13 years. He managed production and equipment rental services at NewCinema, Gear Rental, IMC, and 501 Post. Prior to this, he spent 10 years in the consumer electronics field and six years in network and server administration

Colette Sandstedt - Marketing

Colette Sandstedt is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker who has worked in entertainment and technology for 20+ years. As a marketing executive, she has helped define and explain brand-new industries such as online music and web-based payments. As a documentary filmmaker, her work has screened in festivals worldwide and can be seen on Discovery Network, History, National Geographic, Red Bull Media, and The New York Times.

Sandy Watkins - Director

Sandy Watkins has served as the Chairman of Open Lending, LLC since 1999. He has significant experience and expertise launching start-up companies in the areas of both finance and technology. Under his leadership, Open Lending has been named to the Austin Business Journal’s “FAST 50” list five times and to the “INC 5000” list of fastest growing private companies nationwide. Previously, Sandy co-founded Advanced Computer Systems, Inc.; was Chairman & CEO of Homeowners Mortgage and Equity; and worked with Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Richard Yuricich - Advisor

Richard Yuricich is a three-time Academy Award-nominated special visual effects artist, a director, and a cinematographer. He is known for his work on BLADE RUNNER, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, and CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. He was visual effects consultant on James Cameron’s THE ABYSS for 20th Century Fox. Richard has also directed and photographed commercials and co-founded the Marina del Rey based Entertainment Effects Group.

Joe Gillespie - Advisor

Joe Gillespie is a top-performing CEO in media, mobile and marketing technology, and is founder of the consulting company Digital G. He formerly served as CEO & President of Zoove, Executive Vice President/GM of CBS Interactive, Executive Vice President of CNET Networks, and CEO & COO of TechTV.

Matt Naylor - Advisor

Matt Naylor is co-founder of Flow Nonfiction, a Clio-winning multimedia content studio. Matt has directed commercials for clients from Procter & Gamble to The Special Olympics. He has directed series for Netflix, Hulu, MSNBC, and Prime, and his work has won awards at SXSW, Munich, and Cinequest. Matt’s screenplay, ALONE, was recently produced with Donald Sutherland starring, and will be released in 2020.

David Rice - Advisor

David Rice is co-founder of Flow Nonfiction, a Clio-winning multimedia content studio. He is Co-Creator/Executive Producer of Netflix/MSNBC’s Wounded: The Battle Back Home and Hulu’s Small Business Revolution, and Creator of Clubhouse: Music up Close. David is an Austin-based photographer, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and platinum-selling songwriter/musician.

Kurt Pennypacker - Product Design

Kurt embodies everything you want in an Product Design Director, seamlessly shifting between the end-to-end design process, overseeing and conducting design thinking research, user experience and interface design, and facilitating user testing and project/sprint planning. He has made a name for himself in the experience design world with an eye for aesthetics, the skills to bring his vision to life and the work ethic to see it through.
